The Lord recently brought my daughter-in-law to mind and touched my heart to send her a text.
I paused, and wondered what I could say. We actually aren’t very close.
But the Lord pressed on my heart again and, as I texted, the Holy Spirit led the way. I wrote how I appreciated her and that I loved how she taught the children about love and how she loved my son.
As I thought about that after, I had never realized how much I needed to hear those words for myself.
Sometimes things need to be said so healing can take place, not only in the receiver, but in the giver as well.
