Sept 5 One on one with Jesus -
Busy Days and Daily bread! Following His lead.
Bible Story: Mark 1:35-39
Really felt the nudge to visit that place where i first consciously encountered the living presence of Jesus. I was 15. 38 years ago. It was at Silver Lake United Church Camp. I was encouraged to talk to Jesus. “i’m good,” I said, “I talk to God”. “Well Jesus is God” would be their response. hmmmm, that seemed a stretch to me. And so I asked God the question. “God,” I said, “they say I need to talk to Jesus, so Jesus, if you are real, I need to know.” The moment I said the name Jesus, I was aware of the tangible, real, presence of God!!!! Amazing. This was the beginning of doing life “one on one” with Jesus!
Laurie, talking about the “omni-presence” of God shares this,
EVERY TASK IS SIGNIFICANT, EVERY SITUATION IS FILLED WITH GLORY, EVERY PERSON I MEET IS HIGHLY ESTEEMED, AND EVERY PLACE IS HOLY, BECAUSE HE IS THERE!!! p.107. HIIA
Ponder the stories I made reference to in today’s message. See if you can connect them with what Laurie speaks of above.
