(The Altar of Incense )
KEY SCRIPTURE: 1 PETER 2:4-6 & 9
4 You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor.
5 And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests.[a] Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.
……..for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

Reflection:
Ok, we’ve been talking about ministering to God! Blessing His heart. And in so doing He blesses the ones around us. Take note, we’re still in the Holy Place. Holy Priests’ that we are. And the next item before we head “outside” is the the Altar of Incense.
Again, morning and night the priests had to attend to the incense. Just like Paul invites us to “pray with out ceasing” (1 Thess 5:16-18). The priest would make sure the incense with filling the air, making its way to heaven 24/7. Symbolizing the prayers of the people, everyday, all day!
God’s heart is for the people. Read Matthew 25:31-46 and see.
What’s amazing if you haven’t already caught on to what i’m saying…when we live in Christ we become the tabernacle. The “new” tabernacle is you! Radical!!! You are the “tent of meeting” where Holy God comes to dwell with people. So wherever you go so to goes the glory of God!!! And because God is with you as you minister to him daily. And because God loves minister to the people we represent as we minister to Him, God ministers to them, “through” you!
CHURCH JESUS- PEOPLE ENCOUNTERING THE PRESENCE OF GOD WHEN THEY ENCOUNTER YOU!!!!
