JESUS: The Language of God!
Message: How God speaks: JESUS.

Reflection: I love what Brian Simmons writes in his preface to the book of Hebrews, “Jesus is the theme of Hebrews. You must learn from him and draw close to him in order to understand the depth of this book, for Jesus is the language of God!” p.622 NLT 2nd ed.
“Jesus is the language of God”? Let that sink in. How does God speak? Jesus. Personally, meditate on the profundity of Hebrews 1:1-2. Ponder the magnitude of what is being said. Take a moment to breathe in the ultimate significance of what is being said in these opening words.
“Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through His Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son created the Universe.” Hebrews 1:1-2 NLT.
As we begin this new year will you consider afresh the Gospel proclamation, that Jesus, Emmanuel, is “God with us” Matthew 1:23. Literally, GOD-WITH-US. Jesus is the “Word”. “The Word was God” John 1:1. Yes it’s true, “the Word became Human and made his home among us.” John 1:14 ..... This is now how God speaks.
“But the unique One (JESUS), who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.” John 1:18 ..... WOW!
