Oct 23 OVERFLOWING WITH GRATITUDE!
Thank You for Divine Creativity (a new and life giving way)
A Verse to Remember:
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thess 5:18
Gospel Story: John 6:22-40 “We want to perform the works of God too. What should we do?”
Today’s Scripture: Hebrews 10:19-25
19 And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. 20 By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. 21 And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, 22 let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. 24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Reflection:
I can’t even begin to express how amazed and thankful I am for the Divine Creativity revealed In Jesus! Jesus who gives us access to God’s Divine Creativity. “Jesus opened a new and life-giving way”… So what do we do with this kind of access? Well according to Hebrews we are to:
go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Jesus
Hold tightly without wavering to the hope (we are clean) we affirm
[believe] God can be trusted to keep his promises
think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works
don’t neglect meeting together (so that we can..)
encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near
Our God is a creating God! A new way of doing life. A new way of being human. We are a new creation “in Him”. I’m overflowing with Gratitude, thanking God for the kind of creativity that can only come from Him…. the NEW CREATION OF YOU AND ME!
